How to Cancel

„Was empfehlen Sie mir als Vorbereitung für die Klausur – gibt es ein empfehlenswertes Übungsbuch?“ Mit dieser Frage werde ich immer wieder konfrontiert, seit ich hier in Regensburg Studenten der Medizin und Zahnmedizin auf dem Weg durch zwei Semester Chemie begleite. Und in der Tat, Aufgaben mit medizinischem Hintergrund, chemischer Denksport also, mit dem - spruch, Gelerntes nicht nur zu reproduzieren sondern anzuwenden, mit ausführlich diskuti- ten Lösungen, schienen Mangelware zu sein. Den Anfang machte eine Aufgabensammlung zur organischen Chemie mit dem Titel „Fit in Organik“, erschienen im vergangenen Jahr. Die positive Resonanz von Seiten der Studier- den hat mich letztlich dazu motiviert, auch für die allgemeine und anorganische Chemie ein derartiges Werk zusammenzustellen. Erneut ist der Titel „Fit in Anorganik“ zugleich Programm: Fitness erfordert fleißiges Tr- ning – nicht Reproduzieren von Fakten ist gefragt, sondern aktives Lösen von Problemen. Viel zu viel wird im Medizinstudium nur auswendig gelernt, zuwenig problemorientiertes Denken verlangt und gefördert. Die Chemie ist für die Medizin nur eine Hilfswissenschaft. Umso mehr scheint es geboten, anhand möglichst praxisrelevanter Beispiele – was zugege- nermaßen inder anorganischen Chemie nicht ganz so leicht fällt, wie in der organischen – zu zeigen, warum auch die allgemeine und anorganische Chemie für den angehenden Mediziner oder Zahnmediziner eine wichtige Rolle spielt.
